Ravens seem to follow us on every road trip, including a month long trip to Nova Scotia's south shore. I find the presence of ravens reassuring, as if they are guides.

Materials: 

Background layers consist of an indigo dyed antique ledger. The raven is a photograph of my own.

In keeping with the salvaged wood substrate, the sides are unfinished, with bits of paper and paint drips visible. This piece has a wire hanger that can be folded back if you wish to prop it on a mini easel, bookshelf, mantle, or table. Signed on the back, this piece is finished with a matte varnish to ensure protection against fading, discolouration, and moisture. Avoid placing all artwork in direct sunlight.
