about my workshops

I recently took the Playful Possibilities multimedia/collage workshop with Roanne. I really appreciated the small group setting. This allowed Roanne to help each of us, answer our questions and really give plenty of individual attention when needed.

Roanne encouraged exploration by teaching a few techniques first, making it more comfortable to begin our own pieces. There was an abundance of mixed media materials, photos, paper scraps, paints etc. to create with.

Roanne’s calm, encouraging approach and her knowledge of composition really helped me be a little more confident in my piece. Her home was warm and inviting. A wonderful and supportive creative experience. ~ Marnie

Thank you for another great workshop. It's always such a pleasure to be in your home and to see what treasures you're going to have for us. Your guidance as I work though my piece is greatly appreciated, you have a way of sharing your knowledge and experience in a way that isn't intimidating.

Absolutely enjoyed this workshop which introduced me to interesting materials with which and onto which to create collages. Had never thought of using a wood shingle as a base for the collage! During the course of the workshop Roanne taught us the use of composition, colour and texture to create our vision of a collage.
