On a recent trip to Nova Scotia, it seemed ravens were following us. One of my secret wishes is to have a raven gift me with a trinket some day. This raven seems to be considering the rusted safety pin...

Materials: 

A background of a distressed doily and seashell paper rests on a shingle salvaged from my grandfather's barn. The raven is a photograph of my own.

In keeping with the salvaged wood substrate, the sides are unfinished, with bits of paper and paint drips visible. This piece has a wire hanger that can be folded back if you wish to prop it on a mini easel, bookshelf, mantle, or table. Signed on the back, this piece is finished with a matte varnish to ensure protection against fading, discolouration, and moisture. Avoid placing all artwork in direct sunlight.
