The delicate perch of the bird with the rough texture of an old barnboard combine to make this collage both graceful and rustic. It's a difficult painting to describe, with all of the wonderful and unique features of the reclaimed wood.

Materials: 

Given the substrate, this piece is lightly layered with acrylic paint and a few simple marks.

This piece can be hung, but it will be far more charming displayed on a shelf, mantle or desk, allowing light to filter through the openings and spaces. If you wish to hang it, adhesive strips (e.g., 3M) will work. Signed on the back, this piece is finished with a matte varnish to ensure protection against fading, discolouration, and moisture. Avoid placing all artwork in direct sunlight.
