Inspired by memories of old barns surrounded by wildflowers, this collage was created on a unique substrate. Unquestionably once part of an old red barn, this piece would be at home over a desk, on an antique hutch, or even over a doorframe.

Materials: 

A light acrylic wash is one of the few layers of this collage. It allows the texture and age of the barn board to come through. As shown, the collage is wrapped along the sides and the bottom of the board. Given its nature, this piece will 'shed' bits of wood, but its messiness is what makes it so lovely and unique.

This piece can be hung, but it is solid wood, so it could also be displayed on a bookshelf, mantle, or table. If you wish to hang it, adhesive strips (e.g., 3M) will work or you can cautiously use sawtooth hangers, with small nails. Signed on the back, this piece is finished with a matte varnish to ensure protection against fading, discolouration, and moisture. Avoid placing all artwork in direct sunlight.
