Materials: 

The collage substrate is reclaimed barnboard. The image of these poppies is a from a botanical sketch over 200 years old. It's been printed on a page from a vintage history book and enhanced with watercolour pencils. Japanese papers and pearlized paint add to the layers.

In keeping with the salvaged wood substrate, the sides are unfinished. This piece can be hung, but it is solid wood, so it could also be displayed on a bookshelf, mantle, or table. If you wish to hang it, adhesive strips (e.g., 3M) will likely work or you can try a sawtooth hanger. Signed on the back, this piece is finished with a matte varnish to ensure protection against fading, discolouration, and moisture. Avoid placing all artwork in direct sunlight.
