in joy

'in joy' is simple and sweet...just like many moments that lead to joy. On reclaimed wood, the 'crack' will let the light shine in, as Leonard Cohen brilliantly observed.

Materials: 

This collage features vintage texts, including words from an old manual, as well as ledger paper. It also includes acrylic paint, as well as rust dyed gauze that contrasts with more delicate Japanese papers.

In keeping with the found wood substrate, the sides are unfinished. Its size means that it can be easily tucked into a little vignette almost anywhere. It could even travel with you as a small comfort.

Signed on the back, this piece is finished with a matte varnish to ensure protection against fading, discolouration, and moisture. Avoid placing all artwork in direct sunlight.
