Butterflies have been a theme for me ever since I started creating ~ metamorphosis, transition, possibilities...all of these are reflected in the tiniest collage I have ever made. 'fly' was created from a random piece of wood that I found on a farm while picking up our weekly veggies ~ a little gift in the everyday.

Materials: 

Even though the collage is tiny, it features acrylic paint, Japanese paper, vintage sheet music, and an old sketch.

In keeping with the found wood substrate, the sides are unfinished. This piece isn't really suitable for hanging, but its size means that it can be easily tucked in a little vignette almost anywhere. It could even travel with you as a small comfort.

Signed on the back, this piece is finished with a matte varnish to ensure protection against fading, discolouration, and moisture. Avoid placing all artwork in direct sunlight.
