Irises are such a welcome sight after winter. I was fortunate to inherit some very hardy irises with my home over 10 years ago. They have thrived despite being moved several times. Irises symbolize hope, courage, and faith.

A medieval image from one of my favourite museum collections was collaged onto a rustic shingle from an old Maritime barn. The piece also features lacy Japanese paper, a scrap of vintage sheet music and watercolour crayons. A removable twine hanger is attached.

Signed on the back, this piece is finished with a matte varnish to ensure protection against fading, discolouration, and moisture. Avoid placing all artwork in direct sunlight.
