This page brings together ideas, reminders, and techniques that support our mini retreat, pages & pieces. The pdf files below are offered as gentle guides, not rules. Use them to spark ideas, inform your process, or revisit something that caught your attention at the workshop. My favourite art supplies ~ most of these are pretty basic so they are easily accessible and affordable. In our workshop, we started with children's board books that were sanded and primed with gesso. Our two foundations were paint and collage ~ we built from there.

Mixed media tips & tricks ~ a short summary of the techniques and tricks that I use almost every day.

Printing on rice paper ~ first, know your printer! Don't take any risks with it. But, if you are confident that you can print varied papers, here is a guide to printing images on rice paper.
