I find that no matter how dark the night, the morning’s arrival always provides some hope that things will change for the better. first light holds cheery bits of yellow and gold will brighten any small space. Yellow symbolizes happiness, joy, energy, and the arrival of spring.

A museum image is layered on a shingle from a New Brunswick barn. Slight additions of acrylic paint allow the wood’s grain and rustic texture to come through.

Signed on the back, this piece is finished with a matte varnish to ensure protection against fading, discolouration, and moisture. Avoid placing all artwork in direct sunlight.
